Leicester Buddhist Society

The Leicester Buddhist Society, established in 1978, is possibly the oldest Buddhist group in Leicester.
We meet on Friday evenings at fortnightly intervals at the house of one of our members in Oadby. Meetings start at 7:45 pm and conclude around 10:00 pm, featuring meditation and Dhamma discussions. As a general Buddhist group, we welcome Buddhists (and interested non-Buddhists) of all persuasions. Dhamma discussions generally revolve around the major Buddhist schools: Theravada, Zen, and Tibetan. Usually, we study a text from one discipline for a number of weeks before moving on to a different school.
We also, as Leicester Buddhist Society, conduct programs in English Medium
Every Monday Evening 6.30 pm – Dhamma Discussion (සූත්ර සාකච්ඡාව)
Every Wednesday morning 8.00 am – Meditation Program (භාවනා වැඩසටහන)
